Themed Holiday Clubs and Special Events
We run themed Holiday Clubs throughout the year, in five different areas of the North East: Sunderland, East Durham, Durham Dales, North Tyneside and Newcastle - these clubs are run throughout every school holiday, excluding Bank Holidays.
Holiday clubs can be accessed by anyone from Reception year-14 years old, and will often include a lunch in the middle of the day. Get in touch to find out more about the next Holiday Club near you:
We usually run a number of alternatives to Halloween, which are based around superheroes, princes and princesses. We encourage young people to come to a party - this helps those who get scared by what is happening outside, but also keeps the young people safe and having fun with their friends.
We play games, have a story, and have hot dogs and snacks made by parents and volunteers.
Our Christmas Party and Fun Days happen just before Christmas in various locations - children come either with parents or as part of the Holiday Scheme programme.
There is food supplied by parents, we do arts and crafts and games, and we have a Santa who comes to visit us, who is a foster carer and DBS checked.
The families who are in need are given a bag of presents for their children while the party is on, as well as a Christmas food parcel. Sometimes the children also get given selection boxes, and they also get an appropriate toy from Santa.
All children need to be booked in two weeks in advance, and that we can make sure we have the appropriate support.
